During 2023, Ethan reached World No. 1 in the FIDE Under-12 Blitz World Rankings and World No. 2 in the Under-12 Classical World Rankings.
Ethan is also the India No. 1 in his age category, a record he has held with extraordinary consistency over several years, since the time he was 11 years of age. Interestingly, at one point, Ethan had risen to the ranks of India No. 1 in the Under-15 category while he was still 11 years old.
These rankings reflected his standing among the strongest young chess players in the world and confirmed that his tournament performances were backed by sustained international consistency.
Ethan has always been a contender at the top of the World Rankings since his early years, with his consistency being the constant across all age categories with each passing year. He has also been amongst the Top 3 in India in his category for many years before he eventually switched to top gear and raced ahead to become clear India No. 1 since fours years ago in 2022.

Four International Grandmaster Tournament Victories
Unlike many players who earn Grandmaster norms while finishing among the leading places in strong tournaments, Ethan earned each of his three Grandmaster norms while winning an international Grandmaster tournament outright.
