The National Rapid Chess Championship was organized from 4th to 6th March, and the National Blitz Chess Championship was held on 7th March, at Nashik, Maharashtra.
Goa’s Ethan Vaz clinched the podium finish at National Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2024 (Seniors), at just 12 years of age. He bagged the prestigious Bronze medal in Blitz Chess Championships. 224 chess players from various states in India, including 59 titled players, participated in the Blitz Championship.
He also climbed the podium in the National Rapid Chess Championship by bagging the 11th place and playing some superb games against the higher rated players. 230 players representing their respective States, including 55 titled players, participated in the Rapid Championship.
